What happened to the farm that was The Emmerdale Farm?The farm where the Sugden's originally lived!

Hi Anne, did'nt the original Emmerdale farm get destroyed in the plane crash? That i think was why the village was renamed Emmerdale, because there was no more farm of that name.

Thanks sabbi & Di...........i didn't realise that the farm was destroyed due to subsidence in 1993

I remembered the plane crash and the renaming of the village though in the same year!

Hi Anne, i thought you might like to know that according to todays papers, Charity Dingle is retiurning to Emmerdale this year. I must admit i liked Charity as a character and with Caine returning as well it looks to be getting spiced up again. Oh goody goody.

My British soaps are Corrie and Emmerdale, don't like E/Enders, it's far too morose now, i used to watch it years ago when it had a little comedy in it, that is'nt there any more now. I also like neighbours and home and away as well and i love doctors too.
