17th month old boy kiled by ParentsThere are few things which make me more angry than child abuse. It doesn't matter whether it is paedophilia or excessive physical abuse, my blood boils and I find it very hard not to get very emotional. This latest case in Harringay, London is one such case. A 17 month old child was abused to the extent that one of his ears was torn, he had broken ribs and a broken back and after about 8 months of this torture he died. The poor mite had no life and no chance of survival from his birth to his death. The Local Child Protection Agency fell flat on its arse by missing the signs and taking too much notice of what the "parents" told them. After all this the Court will not let the Press give the names of the "parents" so I take it they were both below 18 years. Another person was also involved. All three have been found guilty and will serve prison sentences. In a case like this it makes me wish capital punishment could be brought into play. This link gives the full story.

I followed this yesterday and yes it's bloody sickening, they should also sterilise both the "parents" as well as a prison term to ensure no more poor mites are put through anything like this.

Must admit, Im not really into children, much prefer animals but I could never do this to anything be it human or animal and it really does annoy me that I and many other people who would never hurt a fly are suffering from serious illnesses etc yet the people who do this dont have any health issues as such.
These people should have exactly the same done to them as they deal out - an eye for an eye.

Ive just seen the story on This morning and all i could do was look at Lucas who is the same age and think what those bastids have done.
The mother, smeared chocolate over the little ones facial bruises and wounds when the social called round to disguise them. The poor little mite must have been in agony with all the broken bones he had.
What the hell was the social services playing at again? They made on average 2-3 visits a week for months & months and didn't pick up on any of the abuse Not only was this baby failed by his family, but he was failed by the system that is supposed to be in place to prevent this happening again after the Victoria Clime case

I wonder why the hell the parents did it, what did they get out of hurting their little boy like that. As for covering up the bruises with chocolate when the socal visited, surely they must have wondered why the chocolate was there, and surely they could have washed it off to check.

i can't even bring myself to read these stories of child abuse, it's just too sad for words... innocent children, what did they ever do to deserve that?

This is the story I originally posted Balders. The mother, it now appears wasn't 27 - she was 17. This is why the names couldn't be given in the news for so called "legal" reasons. There is also another person who is involved who was named on the news. This bloody Social Services Group are the same shower who were taken to task over the Victoria Clombie case. At the time the authorities said that there would be "lessons to be learned". Obviously they haven't been.
Today, in PM's Questions, David Cameron gave "Bottler" Brown a good verbal pasting over this affair. Brown then accused him of "playing politics". For God's sake - this type of criminal activity wants to be taken seriously at all levels of Government, including the Prime Minister. Coming up with platitudes and sound bites isn't the way to go. The Minister who is in charge should be kicking the collective arses of the Social Services in Harringay and making sure someones head rolls over this. Once can be a mistake but twice is criminal negligence.

Yes i saw this as well on yesterdays lunchtime news, it's disgusting and i don't care how long they get it is'nt long enough, in fact i agree fully with woodfold, it is at times like this you wish Capital punishment came back into play. What i'd like to know is, social services, are any of them being prosecuted for this debachle? Anne mentioned little Victoria Clime, if memory serves me well this was the same social services as the one dealing with that little girl. i think it's about 8 years or there about so how long does it take to learn the lessons of the past. Here was me thinking IMMEDIATELY.

Did you see the interview on GMTV this morning? The interviewer (I forget his name, the young one) you could see was getting genuinely angry at the apathy that Haringay council has shown.
David Cameron was also clearly angry in the house of commons.
There are many people sickened and angry over this disgraceful turn of events. I know the scumbag who is jailed for 14 years will get some major kickings in his time inside, I hope he doesn't kill himself too soon, but I do hope he dies in jail, hopefully a painful death. And you wont hear me wish that on many.

I watched Prime Minister's Questions.
Cameron was clearly getting cross...and rightly so but what really annoyed me was Brown's refusal to answer a straightforward question. Barsteward!!

I agree with you Evie,I don't know if you've read todays papers but it just gets worse and worse. Everybody that had anything to do with this poor child, in my opinion should be sacked immediately. Also, as for the wee lads Doctor, she should be struck off immediately, according to the papers today, she examined the little chap 2 days before he died and FAILED to diagnose, 8 fractured ribs AND FAILED TO NOTICE THAT he was paralysed because his little Back was broken too.

Incompetent bastids the lot of them

I don't think they should be sacked
I think, after allowing themselves to believe that a baby with over 50 injuries, including nails pulled out, was as a result of 'accidents' then that goes way beyond incompetence and falls under aiding and abetting.
They should go to prison.

I can't read it all Balders,it is too sickening and upsetting.

Yes Baldrick, i read this myself yesterday and cried as i did. How disgusting a pair of individuals i have never heard of in my life. They make me sick. Have you read todays Sun Baldrick? it keeps getting worse (if that's possible) seems the Grandmother reported them weeks ago for abuse and the social advised the police that they were quite satisfied the child was okay. Then the bloody mother of Baby P said it was her mother that was abusing him, for which she was arrested and held in custody till they investigated. Believe it or not, she was released without charge the day before he died. Why did the s. services not investigate when the childs mother said HER MOTHER was abusng her son. Shame on them. SHAME ON ALL OF THEM.

I really can not read any more of what happend to that little boy it makes me cry, i even had nightmares about it the other night, i hope the three of them get fecked over in prison, tortured to death just as they done to a poor defensless baby, to think i lost my little daughter who was so wanted and would have wanted for nothing and then there is woman like her who have there babies in there arms then do that, it makes me want to scream, it's so unfair, no wonder i dont believe in god.

Thanks Di.I have received 2 texts today naming these animals
A quote from the text in the link above | Quote: | I don’t give a toss how low their wages are, how hard their job is or how understaffed they are. A vulnerable baby’s life was in danger and they left him to die out of stupidity, ignorance or because they just didn’t care enough.
|
Claiming that they are on low wages is crap
I work in a caring environment where i am in charge of 2 other carers and we look after 38 elderly vunerable residents. Our job is bloody hard and we suffer daily abuse from the residents, which include physical as well as verbal abuse. All this for less than £6 PH and that includes night rate.So because i am on a relatively low wage(compared to council carers & NHS)that means i just have to turn up at work and don't have to do my best for the residents??????Of course it doesn't.They chose their vocation and they had a duty to ensure this babys safety...................Bastids

If there was some kind of course I could go on, I would do the job for free. Save babies from these scum? I'm first in the queue

MPs have expressed concern at suggestions the mother of Baby P could be granted a new identity - costing taxpayers millions of pounds.
Amid claims that the 27-year-old's lawyers are preparing to invoke human rights legislation to assure her anonymity for life, there were immediate complaints at the potential bill to the public of such a move.
Tory MP Andrew Rosindell insisted on Saturday there should be no consideration of the matter until she had spent many years behind bars.
A judge has warned that the three people convicted of involvement in the killing of Baby P in August last year were facing "substantial" terms in prison. As well as the toddler's mother, her 32-year-old boyfriend and their lodger, Jason Owen, 36, will be sentenced at the Old Bailey on December 15 for causing or allowing his death.
Baby P died in a blood-splattered cot in Haringey, north London, in August last year. He had suffered more than 50 injuries despite repeated visits by the authorities.
The Daily Mail reported on Saturday that the mother's lawyers were set to argue that her life would be at risk if identified after her release.

Oh my heart bleeds for her - maybe she should have thought about that before she allowed/subjected that poor little mite to the torture that subsequently killed him.
With luck she may get her just desserts while inside and the matter will not have to be debated.
