Arabian SandsI love travel books and I'm presently reading Arabian Sands by Wilfred Thesiger. An account of his life among the Bedu (Bedouin) of Arabia and his journeys through the empty quarter...a vast desert. He was one hardy soul and fought in the Long Range Desert Group and SAS in the last war. Not a man to be trifled with, as a mugger found out to his cost in London when this old guy was in his eighties.
