Tonight Ch 4 @ 9pm.

This is a programme about 8-11 year olds who lived in an environment for 2 weeks without adults.Although the programme makers said (& no doubt it was)it was a controlled environment,would you have let your 8-11 yr old take part?
The kids started off with no rules or anything & had to do their own cooking & washing and basically fend for themselves for the 2 weeks.
The washing part i don't have an issue with,but surely there's something not right about a bunch of kids messing about in the kitchen?
I'm not saying that kids shouldn't have the basic kitchen skills,but 8 year olds making bacon & eggs???

i agree totally anne hun , a friend of mine allows her 9 year old to cook unsupervised , theres so much danger in a kitchen i dont even allow my boys in my kitchen whilst i'm cooking

dont know what age your kiddies are midnight but how are they going to learn if they dont watch you cooking, my 2 are always in the kitchen when errm (cough) other half is cooking and i swear they know more about herbs and spices than i do lol.

I watched the programme and some bits were tought like when one kid had some sort of sharp fork and was arguing wiht another boy, my heart was in my mouth but an adult took it away from the boy, so if you ask me they aren't really on there own, it just another reallity tv show for our pleasure.
