Footballer muggedPolice are hunting two men who mugged footballer Darius Vassell as he got out of a taxi.
The Manchester City striker was robbed of his designer watch and jewellery on his return home from the club's Christmas party.
Vassell, 28, was not injured during the incident but was threatened by the two offenders.
It is understood the attackers had not specifically targeted the former England international but struck while he argued about the taxi fare.
The mugging took place in Didsbury at about 5.30am on Sunday.
