Leeds await Sodje developmentsLeeds are waiting with interest the developments at Reading this weekend regarding the future of defender Sam Sodje.
Reading who also lost out in the Play offs recently are due to meet with the 29 year old defender later this week to decide on his future at the Madejski Stadium.
Sodje joined Leeds on loan in March making seven appearances and became hugely popular with the fans in his short spell for his no nonsense defending.
Reading released their player released list last week with Sodje`s name not on it.
Sodje didn`t play a game for Reading in the 2008-09 season mainly due to a serious knee injury but his future at the club was undecided last week due to his involvement with Leeds in the Play Offs.
One of the players Reading did release last week was ex Leeds defender Michael Duberry.

Top player, he would be a major signing for us and I reckon if we got him we'd only need a right back and that'd be the back 5 sorted.

Yes he really made a difference to the team Joe!

Yep, it would seem Larry is not only a good man manager, but he also has an eye for the transfer market and knows a good player when he sees one.
Best signing of the decade is our Larry

I know someone who actually met up with Bates and when he asked him about Sodje, Bates said we wouldnt be signing him cos of his dodgy knees.

Well i know that he wasnt playing for Reading cos of his knees ,but he did the business for us

Yeah, he would make a good signing but apparently would only be able to play every other game.

Looks like he has gone to Bristol City - shame cos he was Leeds best player since arriving

Another bit of bad news from Leeds today, sick of reading nowt but bad news coming from the club.
If we are such a big club as people say we are, why on earth cant we hold on to these players.

Because Jo,some think they are bigger than the club and expect stupid wages.Look what happened to Hasslebank and Yaboa. They thought they could hold Leeds to ransom and they were soon on their way!

You could argue where would be we now if we'd given them what they wanted...would we still be in league one? Or playing in European competition? Hard one to judge

Beckford is good but if he thinks he is bigger than Leeds, then he is in for a big shock.

Well the rumour is Coventry are wanting him, can't really see him fancying that tbh, but it's possible his agent has got a call from perhaps Boro or Newcastle and advised him not to sign with Leeds.
If Leeds can get a good bit of money for him, great stuff, but I don't know how we'll get those 34 goals in next season, but I know one thing, I trust Larry 100%

Agreed Bravo.......i trust Grayson's judgement a lot more than any of the previous managers we have had over the seasons since our demise from the top flight. He has brought players in who have done the business and i'm sure he will have his eye on someone to take Beckfords place.
Yes we need a player or players who can score those 34+goals,but im sure Grayson will come up trumps for us!
Remember we has a horrible run of bad games under macca and still finished only about 5 points off automatic promotion.Losing Beckford is a kick in the teeth, but we can and will survive it
