Leeds Utd supremo Ken Bates has promised that every single Leeds United supporter will get a ticket for Wembley if his team reach the play-off final.

He had set a deadline of Tuesday for sign-ups to the Leeds Members Club, and the numbers rose to over 34,000 by that time. But Bates still assures them all that he will get tickets for each and every one of them.

Bates said: “We’ve said from the very start that every single member, season ticket holder and corporate season ticket holder will be guaranteed one ticket for the play-off final if we get there. That remains the case.

“The Members Club has risen to more than 34,000, but the deadline’s passed now and only those who are already (members) will definitely get a ticket.”

Bates also hailed the victory of Leeds in the Reserve League, which highlighted the promise of more good players coming through the ranks.

Bates said: “A lot of senior players have played in the reserve games, but just as important are the youngsters who’ve been involved all the way through.

“It’s a sign of our strength in depth at the top but also a sign of the quality we’ve got coming through.”
