My First Go at a HD PictureCould do with something outdoors if any of you fancy taking a piccy for me to convert to HD.
Basically I need four pics (all exactly the same) ranging from low-high shutter speed as I need all the darks and the lights and then my software can put them all together.
Preferably all four pics to be taken from a tripod, but as close as you can get will do.
I appreciate mine was only a bookcase, so more practice needed. Basically, HD is seeing all the lights to darks in the same way that a human sees them but cameras can't.

looks good.
I can try and take some pictures tomorrow, depending on the weather. are you looking for anything peticular? also Macro shots or not and what shutter speeds ?

Well I'm not too up on shutter speeds, but my camera have choices of -2, -1.5, -1, -.5, 0, .5, 1, 1.5, 2
So I took them at -2, -1, 1 and 2. Maybe I should have taken 5? With an exposure of 0 too?
I don't know it's all experimental.
Best results are outdoor scenes as it makes a real difference because to see the subject matter you can't see the sky and vice versa.
Here is an example of a normal + HD (though they might have overdone the saturation on this one)

Cheers mate.
I was thinking...those exposures, I think (if you have the same options as I had) a series of four exposures would be best:
-1.5
-0.5
0.5
1.5
Let's try that, see how it goes

Did you get chance to take any piccies chaps?

Sorry Tony, I didn't and am out for the next two days. I will take them on Friday.
My camera starts off at F4 and goes up (or down) from there
I'll step up an increment and let you know what they are.

Crap weather is fine, in fact I think it comes out better in HD. No rush though, and no worries if you don't manage a piccie in the end

I took one of nearby rooftops, no tripod = shaky hand = slightly out of focus.
Original photo
HD version. Sky can actually be seen.
