Robbie hints at band comeback

Robbie Williams has dropped his biggest hint yet that he could rejoin Take That.

According to The Sun, the LA-based singer has written on his blog that he would "love to be in the band again".

He has also splashed out on a new £7 million seven-bedroom country house in Wiltshire, the paper said, raising speculation further of a dramatic reunion.

Robbie's former bandmates Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Mark Owen have enjoyed massive success since reforming as a foursome in 2006.

The Circus, their new release, has become the fastest-selling album of the year and the band sold around 600,000 tickets for their 2009 summer tour in under five hours, breaking the record set by Michael Jackson's Bad tour in 1987.

The Sun quoted Robbie's Inner Sanctum blog as saying of the band's success: "I'm really proud. I love the new album too - haven't stopped listening to it.

"I'd love to be in the band again but I've got some unfinished business of my own."

Earlier this month Mark Owen said any potential reunion would be an "unannounced thing", with Robbie just turning up to a Take That concert.

"I've got a feeling that halfway through the show we might get a message on stage to say that he wanted to come on stage and sing a song," said Mark.

"I don't think it would ever be a prepared, organised thing."

I for one hope it doesn't happen, they are established now and i think Robbies "issues" would be too much.

I have to agree with you there Di, Robbie has been trying to crack America for years and it's just not happening for him, I like him but lets face it, he's no Leona Lewis and look how quickly she cracked  the states. He'll do anything to be big again.
Bravo

He is big, he never stopped being big.  Was only a year or two ago he was pulling in crowds of 100,000 plus all over the country.  This is after quite some time of doing nothing.  He is one of the best entertainers our nation has ever produced.  I am amazed he didn't crack the USA, Angels was one of the best songs ever and it didn't even register over there.

i think the thing is about 'cracking the usa' is that there is such a glut on the market there... they just have way too many singers (and "so called" singers) of their own to be bothered with people from other countries... occasionally a singer or band from somewhere else breaks in, but it's usually americans that they like best y'all   .. that's just what they are like there, living next to them, believe me i know...

I know what you are saying, but Robbie is a true talent, up there with the likes of Bowie, Mercury and Elton John etc.

yes, and that wasn't a knock on him... i'm sure he's very talented, it' more a knock on the whole industry and marketing, etc. etc.  tons of true talents never get known cause they don't have the luck, backing, and are the wrong nationality, colour, etc.

I have his Knebworth concert on DVD watched it live that was amazing.

Still wouldn't want him back in Take That though.

I loved them first time round, cried when they split.
