Storms set to sweep across Britain

Storms are set to sweep across Britain bringing torrential rain and high winds to areas of the country.
The end-of-summer feeling will be matched by cooler, autumnal weather as an Atlantic storm system bringing rain and squally weather moves eastwards.
Forecasters said the southern half of England and Wales would be the first to bear the brunt of the rain with the storms moving into north east England and eastern Scotland by Thursday evening.
