Im sorry about upsetting Evie and yes I am sorry if and when someone loses a baby but I am an animal lover and feel much more for animals than humans.  Thats just the way I am and my mum was just the same.  I love Dan to bits but dont expect everyone else to feel the same way and if I hear about a child dying for whatever reason, although it saddens me, I dont automatically burst into floods of tears.  However, whenever I see any animal being carted off to its death for us humans to feed on it does upset me and I feel very much like crying knowing what is gonna happen to that helpless animal that puts so much trust into us humans.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with children, and like I have said I feel very uneasy when Im around them, and I just dont trust them not to start giggling and making snide and horrible remarks about my face.  I know not every child does that but in my experience most of them do just the odd few who dont. Its down to children which have left me feeling such self hatred enough to cause me to self harm, and to try to commit suicide, have low self esteem, no confidence  and no matter what people will say about it being due to bad up bringing by these kids parents, it doesnt make it any easier to bear or make me change my feelings towards myself.  They have scarred me for life, scars that will never ever heal.  The only things which has kept me going is my love for animals and having pets in my life.  Animals dont judge just love you so long as you treat them right.

As for the joke about having a child on toast, how many times have we heard the "joke" about loving children but not being able to eat more than one at a time?, or am I the only one who has heard that "joke". (sorry Evie, Im just quoting something Ive heard a few times)

Why wasnt the topic closed when I suggested it?

Obviously my face has no longer fitted on this forum for quite a while now, which is one of the reasons I have not posted before today.

Your last comment isnt true at all Jo and im sorry you feel the need to have to say it!
Bravo

Jo,

I might disagree with you on certain topics, well hopefully I would disagree with everybody on this forum about something.  The majority of folk here are adults, and even the kids are very mature in their outlook.  All that said, I still think the world of you, I think you are a wonderful human being and you have gone through a heck of a lot.  More than is fair.

If I saw Dan, or any other child, drowning in an icy river I would dive straight in to do what I could, and I aint the strongest of swimmers.

It is sad that we haven't found a better way of feeding our population than the farming of animals.  If there was a reasonable alternative I would take it, but being human I am an omnivore, not a herbivore.

I for what it's worth hope you do continue posting here, even if you disagree with every word I ever say, because that, is life.

Thanks Bravo, and I have to say, that although I am not particularly fond of kids, I would never hurt one and would do exactly as you would do if I saw one drowning, even if afterwards he/she when with her friends would start laughing and poking fun at the way I look, which would happen.  I hate even seeing a child getting smacked.  I saw one once that cos she had got lost in a crowd of people, when she eventually was found by her brother and returned to her mother, had her legs slapped that many times I felt sick and had to walk away.  Another time, I was walking up our street with Dan in his pushchair and a little boy fell over while playing at his house.  His mother was sitting on a wall talking to a bloke and when the little lad went up for a cuddle, his mother just whacked him across the face and sent him in the house.  I looked at her unbelievingly and she shouted "well he has been annoying me all day".  Then again I felt very sick.  So, Im not the total monster that people think I am as far as kids are concerned but I still stick to what I say and that I feel much more for animals than humans.

The horrible stories in the media just lately about poor children being abused and killed has sickened me to the stomach but I dont keep thinking about it as much as when I watched a programme on tv to do with farming and saw a farmer carrying two newly born lambs by their front legs, off to his truck to the slaughter house.  Those poor lambs were helpless.  I also watched a programme where a sheep was tied to a fence by its horns and this bloke was showing the presenter of the programme a huge machette he was gonna use to slit this poor sheeps throat. The sheep was struggling to get free from the fence but had absolutely no chance of escaping.  We turned off after that, it would have been to sickening to watch.

People dont have to eat meat, there are meat substitues which are probably better for you.  I have cancer and dont eat meat and am still in remission with the cancer very stable and feel no worse for not eating meat.

Anyway that is just me, I will and always will prefer animals to humans, they are gentle, kind, gorgeous cute things that we should love not just look at as food.
