Westwood is certainly a promising player and surprised he wasn't snapped up by a Premiership team last year.  Refreshing to see what teams like Burnly, Stoke and Hull have achived in recent seasons without splashing lots of money.  Look at the farce at QPR, one of the richest clubs outside the top flight, yet have come nowhere close to challenging in the Championship and are now on their 5th manager in 2 years.  Things certainly seemed to have settled at Coventry since relegation from the Premiership and they have avoided the capitulation of a further drop suffered by Man City, Sheff Weds, Leeds, Charlton, Norwich and Southampton have in recent years.

Still gutted over the 1987 FA Cup Semi Final though I blame Brendan Ormsby

we're you there?.....i was.......everything was fantastic about that day.....a wonderful game,2 teams full of desire,2 sets of very vocal supporters........and no trouble...both sets of fans were impeccably behaved

was a true advertisement for english football

Ranson was mentioned during the all the Leeds takeovers.  Remember him as a no nonsense full back at Manchester City

Only holds 32k though, wouldn't be big enough for Leeds

Yes, I was at the Semi Final in 1987 a glorious sunny day - my mate fainted in the old Leppings Lane terrace - we all had our ski jackets on as it was cold in the morning - all the fans crammed in the middle as the views from the sides were poor - without going into too much detail, I could see why the disaster happened there 2 years later.  Yes both sets of fans were very well behaved that day, but as a Leeds supporter, you could not get within a mile of the ground if you did not have a ticket and also if you appeared to have been drinking.  If I remember rightly, YTV showed the game in its entirety later in the day, so I suffered the pain of watching it twice.  And suffered double heartache that season when Charlton beat us in the play off final when we were 10 minutes away from promotion - not many nice things happen to Leeds United

I was thinking more of runners up 3 times in 4 fa cups, 4 play offs - 3 times losing finalists - robbed by poor refereeing in European Cup Winners Cup and European Cup Finals, West Brom's offside goal that cost us the league (a bloody mile off too!) - the 1970 fixture pile up when we ended up playing 70 games (no mega squads in those days) and losing out on 4 fronts in the final weeks of the season
