THE UK FORUM-Please read

As many of you know,i have been running this place virtually on my own now for about 18 months.
I have tried my best to post threads of interest to keep the place going,but it needs a mixture of different opinions and ideas.What i may find interesting,others may not and at the moment it is very quiet,probably due to the nice weather & of course the likes of Facebook where peeps go quite rightly to have fun

I want peeps to visit UK to have fun,not because of loyalty and of late its not been doing that.
Liam brought new members to the forum and i thank him for that,because when the other newbies left for whatever reasons the place was really quite again and needed new blood.

I am posting a poll,please take time to take part.I will keep UK going for as long as the members want me to,but it is a members forum and as such we should all do our bit.

Awww hunny, I totally understand where you're coming from, but still even though I've been a member here for such a short time was saddened to read your Email.

I don't feel being a newbie I should vote in the poll babe, I'll leave that to you guys that are established here at UK Chat.

I will say though from a newbies point of view that I've found those of you I've interacted with here to be a really nice group of people, I will also say though, that it hasn't gone unnoticed by myself that you lileva work your little socks off to keep this place going, that's very visible to see...

I did try to contribute here but with little response to my threads I didn't really get any incentive to post more and have found that visiting every couple of days rather than daily gives me something to read and to post on but that is purely down to you sweetheart....

In reality, you don't really have a forum without members contributing, and I see alot of members log-on here who say nothing which is a shame - I wouldreally have liked to have gotten to know the members here better.

Hello all, i haven't been on recently because i use firefox and not IE. I would be sad to see the forum go but its up to you anne.

Im sorry to hear that things are not going too well on here and I think it would be a shame to see the forum close but I can understand where you are coming from Anne.

I must admit I did prefer Leeds Peeps and some of the fun we had on there. I think it was a shame when Steve (Woody) left the forum and you have done a fantastic job on here Anne, but its not quite been the same without him and the old Leeds Peeps.

Also I think a lot of people on Leeds peeps were from Leeds or supported the football team which was great on match days especially but also gave us all something in common, whereas there are not many people on here who are interested in football or have anything to do with Leeds.

I have looked around other forums and if they are about a specific topic which a few people have an interest in they are more successful than just random ones. I wanted to talk football quite a bit and have found other forums which are dedicated to football and so I feel I can join in with them, whereas here there didnt seem many subjects I could really feel I could contribute too.

Anyway Anne, that just my feelings and probaby are a load of rubbish, but whatever you decide to do Im sure it will be the right choice.

and thank you Dan & Jo........as i have posted to Rossitt,it was Woodys decision to change the forum and i was just left to run what we were left with.I have worked really hard to carry on,i just need the members opinions as to whether they want it to continue on or not

anne i think you are doing a fantastic job at keeping the forum running , i have made lots of good friends through this forum and would be sad to see it go , however i do understand that in order for a forum to work it needs regular posters and contribution , the only advice i could give is keep it going for the time been and re-assess in a couple of months hun , forums take up alot of time and there alot harder to run than people think xxxxxxxxx

Anne, i also think you do a fantastic job here and i would miss the UK forum if it went, I try to log in every day to say hi in the Monday/ Tues/ Wed etc thread, i sometimes come in on certain discussions but i have to say my favourite bit is the games section, which i love. Please Anne, if it is possible to keep going, i for one would like you to do so. Good luck to you always.

hi anne, i also think that you have done a terrific job here, i know that it is not easy... and i would like to thank you for that. personally i don't come on as much as i used to, but i still like to pop in from time to time to see what you ukers are up too and i consider you my friends

. if it is not costing you any money, then i would say that you should keep it as is. i think we all enjoy knowing that it is here

Hi, Anne, yes, you are doing a wonderful job, and its a great forum, and there are a lot of great people on here. But with 4 young children to look after I try to find time to visit here as much as I can, (mainly when I can't sleep at night, lol) or when I sit down and have a quick coffee break. I think we all know where your coming from, it takes a lot of time, I shall try and invite a few people myself. Keep up the good work. x p.s. I agree with all the others above and probably below but mostly Chrissy

I would hate to see this site shut down, if the question would be:

The UK Forum do you want it left open or closing?

I would go for the first choice

Hey Anne....as you can see everybody thinks you do a great job and so do I.....sometimes it's hard to get to post every day but I try to as much as I can and as you know my fav. haunt is the games section.
Unfortunately some of the people I suggested it to have registered but never posted..then again I think that happens with every forum..but lets keep trying for a while longer anyway....like Sabbi I'd hate to see it go...and as long as it's here you have my support and anyway....what would all ye fine women do without a rooster on hand

I really do appreciate that its sometimes difficult for people to visit every day,what with work & home life,i sometimes find it difficult myself like today when i have just got in from work and have a 2 yr old to look after who wants to join in with the puter

I will let the poll run for the 7 days as planned,but i think i have my response
